He was so easy to work with and made me feel very comfortable for both the bridal portraits and during the ceremony. His work is beautiful and he captured every moment of the wedding. We were set at ease by his unobtrusive style and clear communication, which are important to us as people that don’t spend much time posing for cameras. His portraits capture the vibrancy of the outdoors, so meaningful to us because we fell in love over our mutual adoration of nature, among other things. He had a great way with our (spoiled) doggies Biscuit and Sissy, who he treated as perfectly respectable members of the wedding party! The emotions of our guests were reflected by his unique shots taken before, during, and after the ceremony. Our ceremony and reception were both held outdoors in a beautiful setting with about 150 of our closest friends and family. Jon was very attentive to our needs even before the wedding date. He met with us about a week before at the site and went over his plans and ideas for our special day. His style matched up very well with our own vision, which was to be intimate, candid and somewhat inconspicuous as he worked. Jon made us feel comfortable through it all and he remembered to ask us questions about things that we would have otherwise forgotten. He did a wonderful job documenting all of our special moments and truly captured the beauty of our day, all the way from friends and family arriving to the site into late in the evening documenting our lively reception. We were very pleased to find that many of his photos really captured the joy and happiness of everyone and without using the typical, cliche poses often seen from weddings. His style of photography and attention to detail felt like a rare and welcome gift after talking with other photogrpahers who seemed impersonal and lacking a creative eye.
